The joust and games take place in the city's football stadium; this photo shows the processions from the various districts of Ascoli Piceno assembling before the grand proclamation. There is a cast of thousands, and each of the city's Sestieri (boroughs) is represented in a large open-air parade before and after the joust, many wearing full ceremonial dress in the searing heat of August! | |||
