Despite being hundreds of years old, these medieval instrumental minstrels and dancers on a mosiac at Spoleto are still fresh and appealing. They depict an ancient era where music, dancing and courting were a way of life for those in high society. Italians still have a deep appreciation of such art; you only have to attend a concert, museum or exhibition in Italy to appreciate that fact. The castle lies above the town and is open to the public; you are brought into the courtyard in a bus!
