Lucca is not far from Pisa; while many tourists visiting the Toscano region flock to see the famous leaning tower at Pisa, many miss Lucca. It is only a short train or bus ride away and contains a wonderful cathedral as well as intact city walls. Be sure to walk the walls or you can also hire bikes.
